Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Angelica Chéri (Cycle 24) will have a production of her new play PHENOMENAL WOMAN about the life of the monumental Dr. Maya Angelou.
The play will be produced at the North Carolina Black Repertory Company which consists of producers of the National Black Theatre Festival. The theatre is in Winston-Salem, NC which was the adopted home town of Angelou. The show will run from February 25th to March 12th 2023 with the aim to venture to Broadway.
