HOW TO MAKE A MESS: AN UNAUTHORIZED LOVE LETTER TO NIGELLA LAWSON, by Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Emily Rose Simons (Cycle 25), was presented at Upstairs at the Gatehouse Theatre in London from June 4th-8th, 2026.
With book, lyrics, and music by Simon, the musical depicts a daughter processing her estrangement with her late mother through the spirit of beloved food writer Nigella Lawson.
