Two different new musicals written by GMTWP alums have been nominated for Best Musical at the 2018 Lucille Lortel Awards:
BELLA: AN AMERICAN TALL TALE written by Kirsten Childs (Cycle 4 & GMTWP Adjunct Professor) & KPOP with songs by Helen Park & Max Vernon (both Cycle 22).
BELLA had its world premiere at the Dallas Theatre Center in the fall of 2016. It went on to receive a second production at Playwrights Horizons in the summer of 2017.
KPOP was produced in the fall of 2017 by Ars Nova in association with Woodshed Collective and Ma-Yi Theatre Company.
