Cleopatra, an electronic dance musical by GMTWP Alum Laura Kleinbaum (Cycle 21)
GMTWP Alum Laura Kleinbaum (Cycle 21) co-wrote the lyrics for CLEOPATRA, a new electronic dance musical.
Billed as "New York's Underground Musical Experience", the show was produced at Chelsea Music Hall in NYC this past December. Co-written with Jeff Daye, the musical was described as a pop concert fashion show about the fall of Ptolemaic Egypt with standing room, a bar and some intense audience participation.
The show featured “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alumnus Dusty Ray Bottoms as Mistress of Ceremonies, and costumes by the former “Project Runway” contestant Nicolas Putvinski. The Queen of the Nile herself, was played by the performer Nya.
