GMTWP Alum Michael Cooper (Cycle 15)

GMTWP Alum Michael Cooper (Cycle 15) had the New York premiere of his new musical Marguerite this past fall 2019 at the Astoria Performing Arts Center. Tony Winner Cady Huffman starred as Marguerite Bourgeoys and the production was directed by Dev Bondarin and featured book and lyrics by Anton Dudley, and music by Michael Cooper.

Marguerite is an inspiring story of inclusion, love, and living life without walls, based on the heroic, adventurous life of fearless pioneer and Canada's first female saint Marguerite Bourgeoys. This one woman musical recounts Marguerite's death-defying journey to bring liberated women to the New World and help build the city of Montreal.
