Brandon Anderson

GMTWP Alum Brandon Anderson (Cycle 17)

GMTWP alum Brandon Anderson (Cycle 17) and Open Fifth Publishing announced the release of Anderson's new studio albumWages of Sin on March 5th along with the first single and video, Righteous Is Right.

Wages of Sin is a concept album exploring the chaos and violence wrought by the Trump era and our repeating history.  It is a plea to break the destructive cycle before we do irreparable damage to ourselves and our planet. Written over the last two years, Brandon recorded most of the album in his home studio in New York, before beginning work with producer Mark Marshall.

The first single, "Righteous Is Right," is a reaction to the current toxic political climate and a meditation on how the images that have become omnipresent are effecting the next generation.  As a prominent NYC teaching artist, Brandon's has seen first hand the effects on our children and his work in public schools helped to inspire the track. He said, "I was watching the aftermath of the election and kept thinking about how we are simply repeating the past over and over, except now the cost may be the planet itself."

Brandon has been named a Critics Pick by Time Out NY and listed as #8 on the Advocate' Hot Sheet, which targets must see artists in the entertainment world. Brandon has been on two national tours in support of his last album, Guitars & Grievances, and has been featured on NPR's Lake Effect, The Shepard Express, The Advocate, and many other regional publications and radio stations across the nation.
