Samedi Cinema by Mamadou Dia
Grad Film students Elizabeth Nichols and Mamadou Dia both directed films that have been selected for the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival's Short Cuts program.
Nichols' film, Engiteng' Narok Lukunya (Black Head Cow), was written by students in rural Tanzania and intelligently outlines the pressures of traditional expectations. Watch the trailer below.
