The Cinema Unbound Awards will honor alum Mollye Asher - alongside Steve McQueen, Garrett Bradley and Gus Van Sant - at their 2021 ceremony.
In a statement, Cinema Unbound called her “a critically acclaimed producer whose creative vision and can-do spirit brings out the best in the filmmakers and artists she works with...Her two recent features, Nomadland (2020) and Swallow (2019), showcase the very best of her abilities, featuring powerhouse performances by women who are trying to break free from the confines of societal expectations and become who they are truly meant to be.”
Asher has previously received some of Hollywood’s highest honors for producers, including the Independent Spirit Producers Award, the British Independent Film Award for Best International Independent Film, and the Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Feature in 2018 and 2021.
