Alum Elegance Bratton’s The Inspection is a SSFILM Westridge Grant Finalist.
Written and directed by Bratton, The Inspection is a complex romance story. In the age of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” a young homeless man must conceal his attraction for his drill instructor in order to survive Marine Corps boot camp. The film was selected for Film Independent’s Fast Track and Tribeca All Access 2019.
The Westridge program supports stand-out narrative feature projects in their screenwriting stages “whose stories focus on the significant social issues and questions of our time.” The winning projects will be announced in late May.
