NYU Grad Film alumnus Barry Sonnenfeld is directing a currently untitled new musical-comedy series for Apple TV+ with a star-studded cast.
The show follows “a couple on a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship when they discover a magical town in which everyone acts as if they’re in a musical from the 1940s. They then discover that they can’t leave until they find ‘true love.’”
Currently signed onto the project are Fred Armisen, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Keegan-Michael Key, Jane Krakowski and Cecily Strong. Lorne Michaels is executive producer.
