Alum Rene van Pannevis’s feature debut Looted has been met with critical acclaim.

Looted synopsis: Rob lives his life at 100mph, carefully balancing carjacking schemes and caring for his dying father. But one risky job could bring it all crashing down.

After premiering at Black Nights film festival in Tallinn last year (where it won Best Film), the film is finally arriving online this November. The Guardian called it “an impressive film...a poignant drama [with] lyrical cinematography. The cinematography’s wide expanses of horizon and open sea avoid the grim-up-north cliches and combine poignantly with bedridden Oswald’s wanderlust-filled memories. It’s this kind of political and lyrical film-making that lingers long after Rob’s story has run out of road.”

The film is rated four stars by The Guardian, NME, Total Film and The Times, which called it a "car-thieving drama with excellent acting and a gritty dose of realism."
