Grad Film Alum Maryann Brandon is editing the newest addition to the Star Wars saga: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Brandon previously edited The Force Awakens, Episode VII of the franchise, which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Achievement in Film Editing.
Directed by J.J. Abrams and produced by Kathleen Kennedy, The Rise of Skywalker will mark the saga’s ninth episode. The returning, all-star cast features Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and Mark Hamil.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters this year on December 20th.
