Rezwan Shahriar Sumit Wins CNC's Aide Aux Cinémas du Monde

Alum Rezwan Shahriar Sumit's feature project, The Salt in Our Waters // Nonajoler Kabbo, recently won the Centre National du Cinéma(CNC)'s Aide aux cinémas du monde. The prestigious grant is given by France to international co-productions. It was created and supported by France’s Ministry for Culture and Communication, France’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, CNC, and the Institut Français.

Shooting for the feature wrapped last month in Bangladesh. Fellow Grad Film alum Chananun Chotrungroj shot it and Bradley Bixler worked on it as 1st AC. Sumit's company, Mypixelstory, is co-producing with France's Arsam International.

Grad Film alums who have previously won this prestigious grant are Jonas Caprignano (A Ciambra), Etienne Kallos (The Harvesters) and Vatche Boulghourijan (Tramontane).
