NYU alumnae Mary Evangelista and Sara Shaw were amongst the winners at this year's Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival. Mary's film "Fran This Summer," which is also executive produced by thesis student Elegance Bratton, took home the Narrative Short Grand Jury Prize. Sara's film "Tooth and Nail" received the Best Narrative Short Audience Award and a Narrative Short Special Mention. Read more about the festival and other winners at The Hollywood Reporter.
