T.J. Parsell is an award winning author, filmmaker and human rights activist dedicated to ending sexual violence in all forms of detention. His enrolment in the NYU Grad Film Program was to realize his dream of dramatizing the plight of youth held in adult prisons. As an activist and social entrepreneur he was instrumental in passage of the first-ever federal legislation to address rape in prison. As an artist, his films on the subject are shown inside prisons all over the world. His Inmate Orientation Films on Sexual Safety are screened for all incoming prisoners in the State of New York.
