Ash Mayfair was born in Vietnam and educated in the UK and the US. She received a BA from Oxford University for English Literature and a post-grad degree from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London for Theater Directing. Her short films have been screened at numerous film festivals both in the US and internationally. Her pre-thesis short entitled Grasshopper also screened at Cannes Short Film Corner and was honored with the Audience Award at the Un Pays Un Film Festival in Apchat, France.
THE THIRD WIFE will be Ash Mayfair’s first feature as a writer-director. The screenplay was chosen by Spike Lee as a recipient of the Spike Lee Film Production Fund award in 2014. The script was also a semi-finalist of the Screen Craft Screenplay Competition 2015.
