Tony Martinez

Tony Martinez has worked in post-production in New York for over 30 years. Most recently, he supervised the dialogue and ADR editing on HBO's BESSIE, directed by Dee Rees, and ST.VINCENT, starring Bill Murray, and was the dialogue editor FOR CAROL, directed by Todd Haynes. 

He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for his sound editing work on HBO's MILDRED PIERCE, directed by Mr. Haynes, and received 2 MPSE nominations for his work on REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, directed by Sam Mendes, and THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX, directed by Wes Anderson. 

As supervising sound editor/sound designer, Tony has worked on ANTON CHEKHOV’S THE DUEL, and has collaborated with Robert Frank (LAST SUPPER), Michael Corrente (FEDERAL HILL, AMERICAN BUFFALO, BROOKLYN RULES), Lodge  Kerrigan (CLEAN, SHAVEN), Paul Schrader (AFFLICTION), Neil Burger  (INTERVIEW WITH THE ASSASSIN), Mira Nair (VANITY FAIR), Hector Babenco (FOOLISH HEART), and Lisa Krueger (COMMITTED). 

As supervising dialogue and ADR editor he has worked closely with Roger Michel (MORNING GLORY), Robert Benton (THE HUMAN STAIN), Scott McGhee and David Siegel (BEE SEASON, UNCERTAINTY), Robert DeNiro (THE GOOD SHEPHERD), Darren Aronofsky (THE WRESTLER), and Mira Nair (AMELIA). 

As a sound editor he’s worked on various projects, including: WHAT MASIE KNEW; EXTREMELY LOUD, INCREDIBLY CLOSE; SALT; MARGARET; CHANGING LANES; THE COMPANY; SIGNS; CARLITO'S WAY; DO THE RIGHT THING; SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE; NEW YORK STORIES and EIGHT MEN OUT.
