PETER MILLS is an award-winning composer/lyricist and bookwriter, whose most recent show The Hello Girls (Off-Broadway, 59E59 Theatres) was nominated for 3 Drama Desk Awards and 4 Outer Critics Circle Awards.
Other works include: The Honeymooners (lyrics) at the Paper Mill Playhouse; Illyria (book, music, and lyrics) at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey; and Golden Boy Of The Blue Ridge (book, music, and lyrics) at 59E59 Theatres.
Awards include: the 2010 Kleban Prize, the 2007 Fred Ebb Award, the 2003 Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award, the 2011 Cole Porter Award, a 2001Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation grant, the 2014 Donna Perret Rosen Award, and two 2006 Drama Desk Award nominations for his show The Pursuit Of Persephone (Best Music, Best Orchestration.) He received a 2015 fellowship from the Bogliasco Foundation in Italy to develop his show, Death For Five Voices.
He is a member of ASCAP and has an MFA from NYU's Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program. He is a founding member of Prospect Theater Company. www.PeteMillsMusic.com
