Janey Miles Feingold

JANEY FEINGOLD is a writer for page, stage and screen. Her narrative work explores coming-of-age stories that use magic and romance to talk about vulnerability and mental health. As a screenwriter, Janey’s work has been selected for Film Independent's Fast Track, The NYU Production Lab’s Development Studio and the 2024 WScripted Cannes Screenplay List. Janey is a Film Independent fellow who has developed narrative projects with SNAP, New Form, and Nickelodeon/Paramount+. As a musical book writer and lyricist, her work has been featured in the Broadway’s Future Songbook concert series at Lincoln Center, along with performances at 54 Below, Don’t Tell Mama, Rockwood Music Hall, and the Two River Theater. Janey is a graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts (‘14) and the Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program at NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts (Cycle 30). In collaboration with Bela Konstancja, Janey is currently in development on the film adaptation of their musical REAL PEOPLE THINGS, an indie pop musical about falling in love on the internet, which Janey will direct. Janey’s debut Romantasy novel ROYAL MAGIC released in January 2026 and is available in paperback and Kindle Unlimited.
