Evan Karg
Program Administrator - Grad Film
Evan Karg is the Program Administrator for Graduate Film at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He leads academic operations and administration in partnership with the Chair and faculty, supporting scheduling, curriculum workflows, student affairs, and cross-unit coordination. He oversees the operating budget, financial aid and awards administration, supervision of staff and graduate student employees, and time-sensitive planning across University offices. In 2024, he received NYU’s Distinguished Administrator Award.
Evan is also a screenwriter and filmmaker. His short films have screened at NewFest and the Wisconsin Film Festival, and he served as a story consultant on the feature film The Starling Girl (2023). He holds an MFA in Filmmaking from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School. He is currently a part-time MBA candidate at NYU Stern School of Business.
