Fredrica M Bailey
Adjunct Instructor
Fredrica Bailey hails from Washington, DC, and has always had a great love for writing. Trained as a dramatic writer at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she enjoys all three mediums: screenwriting, playwriting, and writing for TV.
"See You Yesterday", co-written by Fredrica, premiered on Netflix in May of 2019. It was her first feature film writing credit and is based on the short film of the same name. Both the feature and short are executive produced by Spike Lee.
In February of 2020, the film was nominated for two Film Independent Spirit Awards: Best First Feature and Best First Screenplay. It won for Best First Screenplay.
After writers get the fair deal they deserve and the strike ends, Fredrica looks forward to continuing to develop projects for Universal / Monkeypaw, Disney, TPH Productions, Gamechanger Films, and I'll Have Another Productions.
