Kate Stahl

KATE STAHL is an award-winning independent film, television, and theater producer and educator focused on elevating and amplifying emerging artists. She is the producer of IFFR Tiger Special Jury Award winner New Strains by Artemis Shaw and Prashanth Kamalakanthan, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation supported television pilot The Feather Detective, Caroline Golum’s feature film Revelations of Divine Love, and over a dozen short film. She is currently working on Molly Gillis & Patrick Foley’s documentary “FRINGE” and in development on a number of feature projects. Kate was previously the Head of Production & Fellowships at Metrograph and the Manager of Creative Development, Film Financing, and Programming at the NYU Production Lab. She has also worked in rights management and operations at A24 and distribution and strategy at FilmNation and began her career in NYC’s independent theater world. She is an adjunct professor in NYU’s Department of Dramatic Writing, a graduate of NYU’s dual MBA/MFA program, and has a BA in American Studies from Barnard College.
