Adjunct Instructor Edward Solomon

Ed Solomon began his career as a playwright and a joke writer while a student at UCLA. As a senior, he was hired as a staff writer on “Laverne and Shirley," and since then wen on to co-write (with Chris Matheson) the cult hit “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” and its sequel “Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.” He then worked for three seasons on the critically acclaimed “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show,” after which he wrote the screenplay for the international smash hits “Men in Black,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “X-Men” (uncredited), "Now You See Me," and "Now You See Me 2,” among others. His most recent work - “Mosaic," directed by Steven Soderbergh - was a 6 part mini-series that aired last year on HBO, and was also the first branching narrative multi hour film ever made by a major studio with a major director. He is currently working on another branching narrative series with director Soderbergh, as well as a film with director Soderbergh, a film with director David O Russell, and another with producer JJ Abrams. He lives in NYC with his daughter.
