On Wednesday, Ocobter 29th, The NYU Tisch Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center welcomed alumni of the program, current students, and special invited guests to kick-off a new activation with Italian coffee brand, Lavazza. The event celebrated Lavazza’s contribution to the new café within the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center at Industry City.
Tisch Dean's Council member Martin Scorsese ’64, ’68, Hon. ’92 attended the event with his daughter and recent alumna, Francesca Scorsese '23 (BFA, Kanbar Institute, Film & TV). Mr. Scorsese spoke to those in attendance about the significance of coffee shops in his own adolescence and career, signifying these spaces as where true moments of artistic collaboration and creativity take place.
