Géza Decsy Memorial Production Fund

Géza Decsy Memorial Production Fund

Géza Decsy '95 (BFA, Drama) came to the Tisch School of the Arts to pursue his passion as an actor and a storyteller. While studying at the School’s renowned undergraduate Drama program, he broadened his interests in front of-and behind-the camera, contributing to countless productions of friends and fellow students. Géza's enthusiasm and generosity was limitless; he would do anything he could to help a fellow filmmaker. After graduating, he joined friends and classmates in Hollywood to pursue a career as a producer. Sadly, Géza's ambition was cut short in December 2015, when he lost his life in a tragic aviation accident.

Géza was a joyful, brilliant, and charismatic man with an insatiable appetite for life. In tribute to this extraordinary person, his family and friends have established the Géza Decsy Memorial Production Fund at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. The Fund will provide financial awards to juniors and seniors who demonstrate significant merit and/or financial need. The Fund will honor Géza's spirit by doing what he always loved, helping young storytellers bring their visions to life.

We invite you to make a gift in celebration of Géza’s life in the arts. For more information about the Fund or how to make a donation, please contact Sharon Peterson at (212) 992-9337 or sharon.peterson@nyu.edu.
