BIO:

As a Third Culture Kid, Rabiah Rowther has always been interested in stories. Originally from and born in India, she spent most of her childhood moving from place to place and traveling to the point that now airports feel like home. She has lived in Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Canada before her family settled down in Singapore. Accruing an interest in literature and theatre, she has always been drawn to international stories, stories that bring to life a different time, place, and spotlight people of different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. Rabiah received her B.S. in Film & Television from Boston University with a minor in English, and recently received her M.F.A. from the Rita & Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, completing her Thesis in Film and is a recipient of the department award for TV Writing by a Graduate Student. She has interned for a variety of companies such as MadDog Casting UK, FilmNation Entertainment, Jane Startz Productions, Inc., and Milojo Productions. Rabiah was also a young adult book blogger at Confessions of a Readaholic and has reviewed books for publishers such as HarperCollins and Penguin RandomHouse. Her reviews have been featured in Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz and Paper Butterflies by Lisa Heathfield. Rabiah is currently based in New York and spends her time between the city and Singapore––and no, the 24-hour travel time does not get easier.
