Chloe Mutebi

Chloe Mutebi '22 (BFA, Drama) is an Ugandan American actor, writer, and director whose work blends the fantastical with the familiar. Represented by The Gersh Agency, she crafts bold, imaginative stories that uncover deeper truths through wonder, wit, and emotional rigor. Her creative practice spans indie film & theater, screenwriting, and directing, often challenging traditional narratives around self-actualization, religion, race, and the myth of the American Dream.

Chloe was an Associate Producer for Radio Fled, a podcast uplifting BIPOC and queer theatre makers who are actively reshaping the future of American theatre. She’s also worked in casting for episodic teasers and short-form projects gearing up for pitch season, all while fueling her own engine as a multi hyphenate storyteller.

Her directorial debut film, Tight Knit, premiered this March in the anthology Mint Condition, with online distribution coming soon. Next up, she’s making her Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut in Saloon Girls, with NYC and Pennsylvania performances slated before the show crosses the pond.
