Attilio Rigotti

Attilio Rigotti is a Chilean performer, director, technology artist, and videogame designer. Part of NYU Abu Dhabi's inaugural class of 2014, he continued his education with an MFA in Game Design from the prestigious NYU Game Center. His work explores the intersections between game design, interactive technologies, and live performance, and along with his company, GLITCH, has focused on developing new forms of storytelling that seamlessly combine physical and digital mediums. He was an Associate Artist with Theater Mitu for almost 10 years, where he performed and developed the technology for productions like Hamlet/UR-Hamlet, Remnant, the national and international tour of Juárez: A Documentary Mythology, and the company’s sold-out run of Death of a Salesman at Brooklyn Academy of Music. His design work and direction have been featured and acclaimed on and off-Broadway and recognized by the New York Times, Vulture, and American Theatre Magazine. Having taught and developed groundbreaking work around the world, he has also held fellowships in acclaimed institutions like New York Theatre Workshop, and his experimental video game work was recognized by INDIECADE, CYSTEM, and the Wasserman Scholar Award.
