Bailey Ayers

Adjunct Instructor

Bailey Ayers is a music licensing and entertainment professional with more than a decade of experience across television, advertising, production music, and digital distribution. She currently serves as Director of Music Supervision and Licensing at Platinum Rye Entertainment, part of Omnicom, where she leads music supervision and licensing for brand and agency campaigns. Her work includes developing music strategy, sourcing and clearing music, negotiating with labels, publishers, artists, and managers, advising clients on rights and licensing considerations, and supporting original music releases and cross-functional campaign execution.

Bailey began building her career while a student at NYU through internships at Roc Nation, Cornerstone Agency, National Geographic Partners, and Viacom, now Paramount Global, including CMT. These experiences exposed her to artist marketing, brand partnerships, music supervision, and rights clearance, and helped shape her path into music licensing.

After graduating, Bailey joined Jingle Punks, where she worked in music licensing and later managed licensing operations. She then spent five years in Music Business and Legal Affairs at NBCUniversal, leading music rights, licensing, and strategy for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In that role, she oversaw thousands of music clearances across broadcast and digital content, worked closely with production, legal, finance, labor, labels, publishers, and artists, and contributed to digital music strategy, original releases, and music-rights technology initiatives.

Bailey holds both an M.B.A. from NYU Stern, with specializations in Corporate Finance, Marketing, and Management, and a B.F.A. in Recorded Music from NYU Tisch’s Clive Davis Institute. Throughout her career, she has also maintained a strong focus on mentorship and professional development, including recruiting, training, and managing interns and early-career professionals.
