Andrew Lampert is an artist, archivist and writer. His moving image and performance work has been widely exhibited at venues including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Centre Pompidou, Getty Museum, New York Film Festival, and Toronto International Film Festival. He has edited books on Tony Conrad, Manuel De Landa, George Kuchar, Harry Smith and William Wegman. His new publishing imprint The Further Reading Library launches with five titles in spring 2025. Lampert co-authors the monthly advice columns Hard Truths and Hard Choices with Howie Chen for Art in America magazine. Recent curatorial projects include Ken Jacobs: Up The Illusion at NYU's 80WSE Gallery (2023), My Harry at the Whitney Museum of American Art (2023), and Attention Line at Artists Space in New York City (2022). Lampert was formerly Curator of Collections at Anthology Film Archives, where he preserved hundreds of canonical experimental and independent films and videos.
