Logline: A brilliant, but lackluster, mid-life coach recruits a narcissistic, has-been actress as her Cyrano in order to save her struggling empire.

Bio: Danielle DeCrette is a NYC-based writer who came to playwriting after spending several years on the road in the United States, Europe, and Asia, in Broadway touring companies. She grew up in Dundalk, Maryland, an eccentric community, where she digs up many of her eccentric characters: dead and alive. Her play, "Sadie's Day," was selected for a staged reading for Botanicum Seedlings at Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum workshop in Los Angeles in 2019. In December 2020, the Dramatists Guild of America hosted a virtual staged reading of "Sadie's Day." Danielle received scholarships for the Kenyon Playwriting Conference and the Southampton Writers Conference in 2017 and attended the Sewanee Writers’ Conference as a contributor in 2024. Danielle earned a B.A. from the Gallatin School at NYU, with a concentration in Playwriting and Women’s Studies, where her short story, "Tossing Daisies," was chosen for the Gallatin Review and is currently being adapted into a short film. Danielle holds an MFA from the Rita and Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (2025).
