Associate Professors André Lepecki and Deborah Kapchan served as editors on two newly published works.

Points of Convergence: Alternative Views on Performance was co-edited by André Lepecki and Marta Dziewanska and published by the University of Chicago Press. The book explores the relationship between performance and art, new media, politics, and society. Points of Convergence "investigates critical approaches to performance, ultimately aiming to stimulate new discussion between theorists and practitioners."

Theorizing Sound Writing was edited by Deborah Kapchan and published by the University Press of New England. The book "explores the relationship between sound, theory, language, and inscription. This volume contains an impressive lineup of scholars from anthropology, ethnomusicology, musicology, performance, and sound studies. The contributors write about sound in their ongoing work, while also making an intervention into the ethics of academic knowledge, one in which listening is the first step not only in translating sound into words but also in compassionate scholarship."
