NYU One Day

NYU One Day is the University’s 24-hour day of giving in support of student needs. On One Day, your gift in any amount plays a role in raising millions of dollars for NYU scholarships, equipment, programming, and more.

As an alumnus of the Tisch School of the Arts, you understand the support an artist needs to craft their story. On NYU One Day, we’re asking you to be that champion for student artists who look to you for inspiration, and consider making a gift towards school scholarship or departmental support. 

You get to decide what you want to support. 100% of your gift will go towards the fund(s) of your choosing.

The Tisch Alumni Scholarship Fund provides crucial funds for students to finish their education. The Tisch Alumni Program Fund supports Tisch alumni events throughout the year such as the school’s presence at film festivals. The Dean’s Discretionary Fund grants Dean Allyson Green the flexibility to address immediate student needs, from MetroCards to student meals. Each individual Chair’s Discretionary Fund ensures that each department has the funding it needs to purchase materials and equipment and foster enriching experiences for students.

Yes. Your gift in any amount is one piece of the larger picture, and when you give back for NYU One Day, you’re helping to raise millions of dollars for crucial student needs.

In addition, on One Day the University encourages some friendly competition via the One Day Leaderboards. Funds and schools that get the highest number of gifts win prize money for that fund. Feeling competitive? Make your gift to your favorite fund (including your department!) and encourage former classmates to do the same to help raise even more money.

Although only monetary gifts count toward our goal on NYU One Day, we recognize that there are so many ways to give back in support of students. If making a gift isn’t available to you, here are some other ways to participate:

• Sign up to be a One Day Ambassador | Ambassadors help us spread the word and are crucial to helping us raise awareness. Share via social media, email, or even just text your friends!

• Let us share your story! Did you get a scholarship to attend Tisch, or do you support scholarships today? Would you like to share with people what that meant to you? Let us know here

• Sign up to Mentor a New Graduate | The Tisch Office of Career Development will soon put out a call to all Tisch alumni who would like to mentor new Tisch graduates. Interested in signing up? Let us know here!

Starting Friday, March 1, all gifts made via the NYU One Day portal will count toward our goal of reaching 450 gifts!
