Congratulations on your acceptance to the Department of Performance Studies at NYU, Tisch School of the Arts!

You did it! There are just a few more steps you need to take to confirm your enrollment at NYU. Please see the resources on this page and do not hesitate to contact Assistant Director of Programs Laura Fortes at lf65@nyu.edu with any questions you may have.

We invite you to attend Weekend on the Square, NYU's signature event for admitted students. Details about this event, and other events for admitted students, will be released in mid-March. Keep an eye on your email!

Would you like to sit in on a class or be in touch with a current student? Let us know! Contact Laura Fortes (lf65@nyu.edu). We'll be glad to connect with you! Don't forget to follow us on FacebookInstagramTwitter, and Tumblr.

Our B.A. program is a very exciting, innovative, and interdisciplinary liberal arts major that trains students to think and write critically and creatively about “performance” – across media, genre, or platform. We study performance in the arts as well as culture more broadly – “on the page, stage, and street” – and we train students to understand, write about, and analyze it.

Our students are excited about analyzing and understanding performance in an interdisciplinary context that includes anthropology, sound studies, ethnic and gender studies, religious studies, philosophy, etc. You can learn more about some of our amazing undergraduate students (your future classmates!) here.

Congratulations again on your acceptance to Performance Studies at the Tisch School of the Arts!
