STEFANOS TSIGRIMANIS MEMORIAL FUND GRANT APPLICATION

The Department of Performance Studies, in conjunction with the Tsigrimanis family, has created the Stefanos Tsigrimanis Memorial Fund in honor of Stefanos Tsigrimanis, a Ph.D. student, teacher and musician who devoted his life to the pursuit of knowledge. An exemplary scholar, he is remembered for his compassion, wit, creativity and multi-faceted scholarly and artistic projects. The memorial fund has been created to support future artistic projects by Ph.D. students at the Department of Performance Studies that embody the spirit of Stefanos Tsigrimanis’ own work.

Submission Deadline: February 22, 2017

Grant Period: May 1, 2017 - May 31, 2018

Eligibility: All Ph.D. candidates maintaining matriculation with full-time status at the Department of Performance Studies are eligible to apply.

Funding: The Grant provides a maximum of $1,000.00 for expenses related to proposed projects.

Reporting: Funds must be used within the grant period. A report, including a summary of all expenditures, may be requested at the conclusion of the project. A summary of activities and outcomes should accompany this, as well as documentation of the project and its progress. This may include photos or short videos. The project’s outcome will be shared with the donor family and PS community via departmental website, newsletters and yearly fund event.

Selection Criteria: The proposal will form the basis for the selection. Criteria for selection will be the strength and promise of the research project, outstanding scholarly promise and ability to successfully undertake the project.
