Steinunn Ketilsdóttir (MA '16) will perform her piece OVERSTATEMENT/OVERSTEINUNN: Expressions of Expectations at Dixon Place.
She will say too much. She will show too much. She will be too much. But it will not be enough. Through a series of articulated and embodied statements choreographer Steinunn Ketilsdóttir attempts to express her expectations of a performance and the performer, concurrently questioning those very expectations. She has a whole lot of expectations for this project; what it will be, what it should be, what it might, and what it might not be!
In OVERSTATEMENT/OVERSTEINUNN: Expressions of Expectations, she will express herself. She will make statements. Expect nothing. Expect anything. Expect something.
The performance will be followed by Rejected Thoughts by Mira Treatman & Irina Varina.
