Mark Lockwood (M.A. '17)
Mark Lockwood (M.A. '17) was recently selected as a recipient of the John Money Fellowship for Scholars of Sexology at the Kinsey Institute. This prestigious fellowship will allow him to work with the Dwoods Black Sexuality Collection in order to continue his dissertation focused on black queer performance and visuality in gay pornography's "thug porn" genre. Currently, Mark is a PhD student in the Department of American Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests are in pornography, black sexuality, visual culture, erotic archives, oral history, sex work, and harm reduction.
