Zack Wilks

M.A. '19

Zack Wilks

Zack Wilks is a scholar, musician, fledgling arts administrator, and amateur cook. Zack's research interests amble between community-constitution and institutional performativity; queer alimentarity and commensality; the movements of affect, representation, and representability; and musical impropriety. Since graduating from Vassar College ('17) with a B.A. in American Studies, Zack has worked as a performing arts administration intern at MASS MoCA, a studio manager in New York City, and the Community Engagement Fellow at Jacob's Pillow. Through the M.A. program, Zack hopes to find ways to bring together these various scholarly and professional interests while sustaining a critical cooking and eating practice.
