Nour Helou

Nour Helou (1998, Lebanon) is an independent art historian and writer with a focus on the evolution of the concepts of identity, beauty standards, and gender norms in South-West Asian and North African archives. Since 2020, Helou has been a film programmer for the streaming platform Shasha Movies, and Habibi Collective, where she is also a podcast host. In 2022, Nour joined the Noncitizen Film Collective in Sweden where she was a project manager. She has previously published writings in Glänta, Brand Journal, and the Arab Image Foundation Lab. She is represented in the art collection of the Public Art Agency, Sweden. When the fruits are ripe, Helou is also a certified pastry-maker.
