WHY PS @ NYU?

Performance Studies supports my ongoing study of the world through the lens of comedy. PS's very premise holds a big, luminous mirror up to the face of academia, noticing collective biases around what qualifies as legitimate, scholarly work. For me, the field is an opportunity to play with and within the confines of academic life, folding and evolving research-oriented thinking into artistic practices of doing, making, and feeling.
