Truth, Justice & Political Theatre

On Sunday, May 6, from 3:00pm-5:00pm, the "Writing Political Theatre" class will present a reading of their short plays, written for the class, at the Goldberg Theatre at 721 Broadway, with a reception to follow.

This class is cross-listed between the Open Arts program and the Department of Dramatic Writing. It is taught by Ian Ellis James, who writes plays under the name William Electric Black. Electric's latest play, "Subway Story (A Shooting)," the final part of a series on gun violence, recently had a run at the Theatre for the New City. If you'd like to see budding playwrights tackle the issues of the day, all are welcome!
