Alumni Sam Contis and Paul Sepuya to be included in MoMA's New Photography 18

The Museum of Modern Art has announced that Being: New Photography 2018, the latest edition of MoMA’s longstanding and celebrated New Photography series, will include works by two DPI alumni: Sam Contis (BFA '04) and Paul Mpagi Sepuya (BFA '03). 

Additionally, Sam Contis' new book, Deep Springs, was shortlisted for the Paris-Photo/Aperture PhotoBook Award

Paul Mpagi Sepuya will also be included in the upcoming exhibition at the New Museum, Trigger: Gender as a Tool and a Weapon (on view through January 21, 2018).


Being: New Photography 2018
will be on view March 18–August 19, 2018 at The Museum of Modern Art.
