The Fader says you need Alum Elliott Brown, Jr. In Your Life

Wednesday, Oct 5, 2016

Recent Photography & Imaging graduate Elliott Brown, Jr. (TSOA '16) was #1 in a list published by The Fader, "25 Captivating Photographers Whose Work You Need In Your Life." Elliott is also featured as a subject in the work of Devin N. Morris in the same list. From the September 29, 2016 article by Yael Malka:

Elliott is a recent grad from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. His work, reminiscent of Deana Lawson, speaks about black queer bodies. Through intimately staged photographs, he questions preconceived notions of maleness and blackness. Elliott's photos weave throughout public and private spaces.

Other Photography & Imaging alums whose work received some well-deserved recognition in the article are Stacy Kranitz (TSOA '99) and Paul Mpagi Sepuya (TSOA '03).
