Peter Sutton, Anthology Film Archives, Spring 2013, AMPAS

I was an audio digitization and archive intern at Anthology Film Archives. I would digitize at risk formats, catalog technical and descriptive metadata, and upload to a database. If needed I would perform conservation treatments on the various audio formats. I also assisted in vault and collection management by barcoding and maintaining the vault storage area for the audio.

Anthology also had me catalog hundreds of videos of various formats from the New York Underground Film Festival. Through this process I helped preserve hundreds of original audio recordings documenting film, exhibition, and Anthology's own history. I was also asked to observe their print and video preservation efforts and understand the process from beginning to actual exhibition.
