Caroline Oliveira, IndieCollect, Fall 2017
During the fall semester of 2017, I interned at Laboratory for Icon & Idiom, Inc., the non-profit film preservation organization better known as IndieCollect, that is headed by Sandra Schulberg. I received training in film inspection, handling, and film scanning, and worked on phase one of their Queer Cinema Index project, indexing over 10,000 films and TV shows related to the LGBTQ community.
