During the Fall 2023 semester, I interned at the Queens Public Library where I helped to process digital files collected for the Collections of Culture: 50 Years of Hip Hop inside Libraries, Museums, and Archives. The Collections of Culture is a digital collection of files documenting events celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop held by 40 partnering organizations across North America.

My work responsibilities included reviewing and cataloging file submissions to the Visual Resource Association's VRACore schema, metadata refinement and XML validation, and producing a draft finding aid which my supervisor and I worked together to encode.
