The exhibition Where I Come From, at Ohio University, features images from Associate Arts Professor Pato Hebert’s conceptual photo series, In, If Not Always Of

Where I Come From features 30 pieces, representing 17 artists and 11 states. It examines the title claim as a point of departure to consider questions of the landscape of identity from historical, geographical, familial and other influences. 

The exhibition is part of a long-standing biennial juried exhibition called “Alternatives,” organized by Ohio University’s M.F.A. Photography + Integrated Media program in the School of Art + Design since 1980.

Juror reception and talk: February 16, 5–8 p.m.
Artist talk by the juror Hans Gindlesberger at 5:00 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium
followed by a closing reception 6:00–8:00 p.m.
