ART AND PUBLIC POLICY ALUM MELISSA OLSON COVERS 'UNAPOLOGETICALLY INDIGENOUS' MURAL FOR MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO

Art and Public Policy alum Melissa Olson is a journalist, community archivist and an essayist. Her latest article for Minnesota Public Radio, covers the restoration and preservation of a work of art created by artist George Morrison half a century ago. When creating the mural, Morrison intended for it to be “large scale, in your face, out, and unapologetically Indigenous.” The restoration of the mural is a part of the long-term vision for community development along Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis.
