Absent Monuments (2018), Rose DeSiano
NYC Parks and Uniqlo announced the recipients of the 2018 Art in the Parks: UNIQLO Park Expressions Grant. DPI alum Rose DeSiano ('01) was one of the ten awardees. Her site-specific installation, Absent Monuments, will be on view at the Rufus King Park in Queens this summer. Specific dates are TBD.
This is the second round of artists to receive grant funding as part of Parks’ partnership with UNIQLO. Each chosen artist receives $10,000 to execute their pieces. The first round of winning artists installed their pieces in June 2017 and can still be seen throughout the city until late May of this year.
