The 37th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards

Nominations for the 37th Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Awards were announced today by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). Among them we are happy to find two members of the DPI community whose work is being recognized.

Chair Deborah Willis, Ph.D., is nominated in Outstanding Arts and Culture Programming as Producer of the documentary Through A Lens Darkly (Director Thomas Allen Harris).

Alumnus Evan Simon (DPI '12) has been nominated in Outstanding Video Journalism for his documentary work on New York's Dead Horse Bay, a project that began when he was completing his undergraduate degree. 

The News & Documentary Emmy® Awards will be presented on Wednesday, September 21st, 2016, at a ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P Rose Hall in the Time Warner Complex at Columbus Circle in New York City. The event will be attended by more than 1,000 television and news media industry executives, news and documentary producers and journalists. Awards will be presented in 46 categories.
